Sambalpuri Silk, also known as Sambalpuri Patta, is a heritage handloom fabric from Odisha that reflects the rich art and culture of its tribal communities. Each piece is handwoven using the traditional “Ikat” dyeing technique, where the threads are tie-dyed before weaving — creating mesmerizing patterns that are identical on both sides of the cloth.
This particular variant features tribal patterns combined with elephant motifs, symbolizing strength, wisdom, and prosperity — deeply rooted in Odishan tradition.
The motifs are inspired by ancient tribal art and nature, handwoven with precision and artistry by skilled weavers.
